Sympathy, grieving . At its best when it's about honoring and loving.
Honoring both the person who we have lost and our own sadness.
Loving the one we have lost and ourselves and all those around us.
At its worst when it's focused on suffering, guilt, depression and pity
We are so blessed when we have the opportunity to help people express their honoring, loving celebrations of loved ones they have lost. Sometimes there is an opportunity for creative expression of the loved ones interests, life work or personality. Our clients have found this expression a touching and meaningful support in their own process of honoring and saying goodbye.
How do we do this? We ask questions and take clues from the family and friends ordering them, and even from the obituary, and then listening to the artistic inner voice, and the voice of the Spirit who knows us better than we know ourselves.
What a blessing to celebrate a wonderful gentleman's favorite place to live (Hawaii), and another time to include potted plants in a standing spray for the family of a gardener to keep with them and enjoy.
And a blessing to create a lush, full feminine wildflower design for a woman from back East who loved the outdoors.
We love to help our clients celebrate amazing lives with personalized arrangements.
